The Members, Their Cars, and the Club
At present time we have 76 members in the club. With the club as large as it is, it is often difficult to get an exact count of the cars and their particulars but as best as we know the cars range from 1957 to the present 2007 model. In total there are 86 Corvettes owned by the members. The series C5 (1997-2004) leads the way with 34, C4 (1984-1996) and C3 (1968-1982)are next with 16 each, C1(1953-1962) and the current C6 (2006-present) with 7 each and finally C2 (1963-1967) with 6. Coupes outnumber convertibles 44 to 42. As far as colors are concerned, red is by far the favorite with 24, then black (15), blue (13), white and green (8 each), silver (7), yellow, pewter and orange with 3 each, and finally grey and bronze each are found one 1 car. At one time we used to know (or at least have an idea) about ragtop colors, transmission type but .. but not any more..
As for the club in general, we are a dynamic group. We hold various functions throughout the year. Obviously in the winter months most of the members leave their prized possessions in their garages (if they have one) and attend by driving something else. Some of the events are for members only, while many are open to non members as well. Those that are for members-only include our weekend trip to wherever (this year's was to New Hampshire), summer cookout meetings and our annual holiday party. Those that are open to everybody include our mystery cruises (usually the 4th Thursday of the month from Apr- Sept. This is about an hour cruise on the Cape to a dinner somewhere), our summer cruise nights (Wednesdays- June - Sept various locations - this is more of gathering rather than " driving around"), and our "Corvettes on Cape Cod Weekend" which is planned for Sept 22-24 . As our President likes to say " we like to give rather than receive" and many of our functions take in a few $$ (raffles, etc) most of which goes back out to our local community in the form of charity. From food and clothing donations to local pantries and shelters, to $$ to other needy groups, a defibulator to a local Fire Department: we are all very proud that we can give something back to our local community. See our list elsewhere on our webpage
If you have a Corvette of any vintage and would like to join in on an event, do so. It likely will be a fun time. And should you join the club, you will be able to participate in a whole lot more events and be part of a dynamic group of car lovers.
Click in the table below and view a little history of various years and view some pictures of some of the members cars. Check back often as we will be adding more pictures and history of the Corvette years,
