With warm weather starting to appear, the club members are finally getting the chance to uncover their Vettes, and begin enjoying what the cars were intended for - ie: driving. On April 23, Mark and Terry Chalker once again led the club's annual spring kickoff cruise-n-brunch to the Seacrest Resort in Old Silver Beach in N.Falmouth. This was the third time this couple has done this and every time they do such a great job that they are automatically appointed to the the next year's kickoff cruise. Unfortunately the weather was inclement. In all about 55 members attended, though only a dozen couple drove their "fantastic plastic"- still not bad considering the weather.
Later in May we held our second mystery cruise of the season. Mystery Cruises are a tradition that began with the inception of the club. Once a month during the summer a member leads a cruise somewhere on ( or off) the Cape to a dinner location. The cruise is usually about an hour. This cruise ended with dining at the Village Pizza in Yarmouth.
On a nice Sunday in May, some of our members met up with the South Shore Corvette Club as they cruised the Cape.
During the summer, one of our locations for our Wednesday Cruise Nights was at Harbor Chevrolet in Falmouth

A.L.S. DAY (Sept 10, 2006)
On a nice clear day ( for a change) a number of club members showed up in support of Mary Ann's A.L.S. day. You cannot imagine the amount of work that she puts into this function and as a club we are honored that we can support her great cause. In all about 25 corvettes were on display while the members provided their support in the various activities of the day. Thanks to the club members for their support and are hats are off to MaryAnn for her incredible work in helping to find a cure for A.L.S. This is a yearly event that she does and she can be sure the Cape Cod Corvette Club will be there again next year.

Fall Wrap-up Cruise
What could be more delightful than sitting at Finizzi’s On The Sea Restaurant, eating delicious food and enjoying the beautiful view on a sunny day? The answer is to be sitting with over forty friends from the Cape Cod Corvette Club, after a gorgeous ride along many lovely back roads on the way to Provincetown.
Grateful thanks to Dick and Carol Ayres who organized the Fall Wrap-up Cruise. Twenty-three Corvettes and one Viper in a rainbow of colors cruised from Orleans to Provincetown in a parade that was the obvious envy of on-lookers throughout the route. Well-wishers whistled, shouted and gave thumbs up as the owners grinned with pleasure. Everyone was sad to see the day end, but there were some who wanted to have their cake and eat it too. They rushed home to watch the Patriots win yet another game. What a day!

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we were able to drop off 98 toys for the children on Cape Cod to help make their Christmas morning a little brighter
