
Now in its 4th year of the latest generation, the 2000 Corvette saw some changes from the 1999 model. Goodyear Eagle F1 tires and on upgraded version of the Z51 performance handling suspension package were offered with this year's corvettes. New interior and exterior colors were made available and high polish version of 5 spoke wheels were an option. Exterior colors for the 2000 included Arctic White, Light Pewter Metallic, Sebring Silver Metallic, Nassau Blue Metallic, Navy Blue Metallic, Black, Torch Red, Millennium Yellow, Magnetic Red, and Dark Bowling Green Metallic. Interior colors were a choice between Black, Light Oak, Torch Red, and Light Gray. Convertible tops were available in White, Black, or Light Oak. Total production for 2000 was 33,682 of which 3,578 were painted in Millennium Yellow to commemorate Y2K. In total there were approximately 18,113 coupes, 2,090 hardtops and 13,479 convertibles. A 6 speed transmission was standard with the hardtop and offered as an option in both the coupes and convertibles.
In our club we have 7 members with a 2000 Corvette. Tom C, Tom G, Rich B and Gene S all have convertible while Jane S, Dennis P and Vic Mhave coupes.
